Who must file the Adjustment of Status?
If you are now married and brought your wife here on a Fiancee (K1) Visa, then you must file for Adjustment of Status. If you do not, then your wife does not have a valid visa for the USA, she cannot get her SSN and cannot travel outside the USA. If you got married in her Country and your I-130 is not approved, then you also need to file for the Adjustment of Status. (This cost does not include Government filing fees)
