A homebody, not a party goer. Have a sense of humor. Rather play a sport than watch it, work in a garden rather than sit and chat for two hours. Dislike boisterous and loud people. A morning person, like to wake up, get coffee and listen to the birds, hit the garden, have breakfast with my friends. Unless something very pressing at work or home, wake up happy. Very athletic for age, slim, quick footed with good health. Parents lived into their 90's with no dementia. Like tennis, ballroom dancing, music (classical, no rap) and song including opera. Love to hear someone singing and/or playing a musical instrument. Sing in church choir (they take anybody).
From my past marriage that did not work, I know there must be common values and interests. Without them the marriage will die. Interests do not have to be identical, but there must be more than one.
Do not like swearing or loud or boisterous people.
Looking for a morning person, someone who is gentle, honest, sincere, kind, affectionate and passionate, with a sense of humor, someone who likes gardening, music, reading and nature. Athleticism is a plus since I am athletic and would like to be able to play with my spouse as my partner, but I do not expect my lady to be a star. It just would be nice to be able to play some sport together. I like to enjoy the tennis game, and do not have to win to have fun. Everybody is entitled to his/her own opinion. Each must be able to recognize the other's talents, and enjoy and rejoice in them, even if greater than ones own. Partner must be sure of her abilities, special qualities, and worth - everyone has his/her own. I am of mine, and if the partner is not secure in her own, it would never work. Hate the silent treatment - not interested in anyone who does not talk for two days when angry. Must be able to agree to disagree and not take it to bed.
