I have two grown daughters. One is a doctor who teaches her specialty at the U of Oregon Medical School, and practices medicine at the Corvallis Clinic, the other is a lawyer practicing corporate tax law in Portland, Oregon, USA.
I operated my own martial arts dojo for 20 years so that I could train my two daughters to defend themselves using the skills I had used as a young boy to defend myself against gangs in a poor neighborhood in Philadelphia, PA, USA, where I was born. Both of my daughters have had occasions to use Aikido in Europe, Latin America and the USA as students and as tourists.
I retired at age 40 after selling my businesses. My mother lived with me for 10 years after she had a heart attack. She died recently and my dog also died last year, which makes it possible for me to now live where I like.
